COMMUNITY PARTNERS

ERADICATING ENVIRONMENTAL WASTE TOGETHER!

MESS is fortunate enough to have strong partnerships in Mission and the Fraser Valley. Each relationship we forge creates a larger resource base to tackle the issues of littering and illegal dumping in Mission, BC. Below is a list of partnerships with information on how we work together to achieve our shared goals.

Fraser Valley Illegal

Dumping Alliance

In January 2016, MESS joined forces with FVIDA (a multi-stakeholder anti-dumping alliance managed by Fraser Riverkeeper) to educate the public on the damages of illegal dumping. In 2016, Fraser Riverkeeper joined us on an expansion project of our Junior Anti-Litter Bug Club to help bring age appropriate material to the Valley.

School District 75

In September 2017, MESS gained the support of School District 75 to bring our School Litter Challenge to EVERY school in Mission, BC. This anti-litter and waste management challenge teaches students how to handle waste safely and correctly, how to minimize or prevent littering, how to identify sources of littering, and how anthropogenic waste can damage the environment.
